VOTE NO 83 is a campaign to defeat Colorado Amendment 83. This website and our pledge form are paid for by Animal Wellness Action. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you make a pledge or sign up, we collect your first and last name, email address, and ZIP code. If you choose to, you can also give us your mobile phone number.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web host records basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type and IP address, to keep the site running and secure. Our pledge form is provided by Action Network, which may use cookies to make the form work and to count sign-ups.

Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site, such as which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are located, what device they use, and which ads, flyers, or QR codes brought them here. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We have turned off Google’s ad personalization features, so this information is not used to target ads to you. We share these reports with our advertising vendor, Eye Contact Media, to measure our ads.

Ad measurement. We also use a Google Ads tag to count how many people who click our Google ads visit this site and take an action, such as signing the pledge. Ad personalization is turned off for this tag too, so it is not used to show you ads based on your browsing. You can block these cookies in your browser settings or with Google’s opt-out tool at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Donations. Donations are processed on a secure form run by Animal Wellness Action, which opens in a window on this site. Your payment information goes directly to that form and is handled under Animal Wellness Action’s own privacy policy.

How we use it

• To send you updates about Amendment 83, including reminders to vote before ballots are due.
• To invite you to volunteer or take other actions on Amendment 83 and related campaigns.
• To understand which of our materials (like flyers, ads, and QR codes) are bringing people to this site.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information.

• Your information is shared between VOTE NO 83 and Animal Wellness Action, which pays for this campaign. By signing up, you agree to hear from both about Amendment 83 and related campaigns.
• We use service providers to run the campaign, such as Action Network (our sign-up and email tool), Google Analytics and Google Ads (website statistics and ad measurement), and our website host. They may handle your information only to provide those services to us.
• We may disclose information if required by law.

Text messages

If you opt in to text messages, we'll send you messages about Amendment 83, such as voting reminders and ways to help. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.

We will not share your mobile phone number or text-message opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Opting in to texts is never required to make a pledge.

Keeping your information safe

We use reputable service providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information protected.

Children

This website is intended for Colorado voters. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
